Everyone saw this coming, but now it’s finally official. According to the Spokesman-Review, Mike Leach named Luke Falk the starting quarterback after Tuesday’s practice.
It comes as no surprise to anyone who’s tracked the Cougars through fall camp, but it’s definitive now. Which is more than we can say for Chris Petersen and the Huskies or Jim Harbaugh and Michigan.
Apparently, keeping your starting quarterback a secret is the newest trend in college football.
Petersen was at least candid about his motives in a conference call with reporters on Tuesday.
“I think everybody would prefer to announce it.
