Whitman County Coroner officially rules WSU QB Tyler Hilinski’s death a suicide

PULLMAN — The death of Washington State quarterback Tyler Hilinski has officially been ruled a suicide, the Whitman County Coroner’s office confirmed in a news release issued Thursday afternoon.

You will be routed to a local crisis center where professionals can talk you through a risk assessment and provide resources in your community.   • Talking about feeling trapped or in unbearable pain
  • Talking about being a burden to others
  • Increasing the use of alcohol or drugs
  • Acting anxious, agitated or recklessly
  • Sleeping too little or too much
  • Withdrawing or feeling isolated
  • Showing rage or talking about seeking revenge
  • Displaying extreme mood swings

Hilinski, 21, was found dead in his apartment in Pullman on Tuesday afternoon with a gunshot wound to the head.
