Josh Hawkinson and Malachi Flynn each scored 18 points to help Washington State rally for an 81-76 exhibition men’s basketball victory over Central Washington at the Toyota Center in Kennewick on Tuesday night.
Ike Iroegbu had 15 points for the Cougars (2-0), who trailed much of the game.
In addition to his 18 points, Hawkinson, a product of Shorewood High in Shoreline, had 12 rebounds and four blocks.
The Cougars were 23 of 29 from the free-throw line compared to 9 of 14 for the Wildcats, who got 26 points from Decatur High product Dom Hunter.
