Washington closes out impressive volleyball season by beating WSU in straight sets

Washington closed out its impressive regular season with an equally impressive home victory over in-state rival Washington State, 25-14, 25-15, 25-17.

After the victory Saturday night, the Huskies will wait for the NCAA tournament pairings with a 28-2 season record and an 18-2 mark in the Pac-12. WSU falls to 16-16 and 5-15.

Courtney Schwan had 11 kills and a .526 hitting percentage for the Huskies and Tia Scambray added 11 kills. Lianna Sybeldon had five blocks for UW and Katy Beals had 11 digs.

Washington took charge early in the opening set, hitting .485 as a team to take the 25-14 victory.
