LOS ANGELES -- The Washington State volleyball team (12-2 overall, 2-0 Pac-12) knocked off No. 9 UCLA (10-2, 1-1) Friday night in Pauley Pavilion, the second defeat of a Top 10 team by the Cougars in a three-day span. WSU, also receiving votes in the AVCA Coaches Top 25 poll, defeated UCLA 3-2 with set scores of 25-22, 27-25, 23-25, 21-25 and 18-16.
WSU upset No. 4 Washington 3-1 Wednesday night in Seattle. WSU's last win over UCLA was in 2002, a 3-2 win in Pullman. The last time WSU won at UCLA was a 3-1 win in 1997 when both Head Coach Jen (Stinson) Greeny and assistant coach Shannon (Wyckoff) Hunt were starters.
