Huskies volleyball team sweeps USC in L.A.

The fourth-ranked Washington volleyball team responded to its first setback of the season with a Pac-12 road victory Friday night as the Huskies swept No. 21 USC 28-26, 25-16, 25-18 in Los Angeles.

Washington (11-1, 1-1) saved three set points in the first set before pulling through, and then pulled away for convincing wins in the second and third.

Bouncing back from Wednesday’s loss at home to Washington State, the Huskies had a balanced attack with Bailey Tanner’s 38 assists frequently finding the arms of outside hitters Courtney Schwan (13 kills), Crissy Jones (12) and Tia Scambray (10).
