SPRINGFIELD, Ore. –Brian Barsaiya (23:46.0, 3rd) and Alaina Stone Boggs (20:07.3, 5th) each finished top-five as the Washington State men's and women's cross country teams each returned to competition at the Bill Dellinger Cross Country Invitational on Friday at the Springfield Golf Club.
Barsaiya claimed third in the 8k race to lead the Cougar men who finished fifth overall with 120 team points. Stone-Boggs posted the best 6k time for the Washington State women and teammate Carolina Jerotich finished just behind in sixth-overall as the women notched a fourth-place finish with 102 points.
