PULLMAN, Wash. -- Anne McCoy, WSU's senior deputy director of athletics and senior woman administrator, will serve as Washington State University's interim director of intercollegiate athletics as a national search gets underway for a full-time replacement.
WSU President Kirk Schulz announced the appointment on March 27. McCoy will continue to serve in the role until a permanent director is named.
"Anne is an outstanding administrator and a dyed-in-the-wool Coug," Schulz said. "With more than two decades of experience in the WSU athletics department, she is uniquely qualified to ensure that Cougar athletics continues to excel as we search for the university's next athletic director.
