There was no doubt that Scot McCloughan was a solid personnel evaluator for the Washington Redskins. In two years with the team, McCloughan discovered a number of strong starters and diamonds in the rough that helped their team to become a playoff contender. However, after a rift with the front office and some apparent issues with drinking, McCloughan was fired by the Redskins. However, he was told that he could work for other teams, and it appears that he is.
According to CSN Mid-Atlantic’s JP Findlay, McCloughan has advised a couple of teams in the lead up to the 2017 NFL Draft.
