Redskins' defense, red zone offense must improve to gather momentum

ASHBURN, Va. -- The win provided them with energy and a chance to finally grab some momentum. The reality, though, is the Washington Redskins know they have issues to correct if they want a gritty win over the New York Giants to be the start of something and not an aberration.

"Winning one game does nothing for us other than get us in the right frame of mind and get a little positive vibe going here," Redskins coach Jay Gruden said, "but we have a lot of work to do."

Several players echoed those sentiments after the game, pointing out how they're still in last place in the NFC East.
