Redskins 2016 Draft Grade – DT Matt Ioannidis

It was inevitable that the Washington Redskins would take a defensive linemen in this draft. But the thing that was surprising is that it took them five rounds to do it. Matt Ioannidis was the pick and for a late round pick the Skins got a prospect that they can work with.

I like the versatility that Ioannidis brings to the table. He could play either defensive end or nose tackle for the Redskins. Head coach Jay Gruden stated that he thinks the 6’3, 299 pounder could put on another 10-15 pounds and excel as a nose tackle.
