Halftime: Cardinals 10, Redskins 6

GLENDALE, Ariz. — On the Washington Redskins’ final drive of the first half on Sunday, the offense marched 47 yards down the field, but was stopped just short of the goal line. Washington settled for a Dustin Hopkins field goal, narrowing the Arizona Cardinals’ lead to just 7-6.

Initially, the Redskins’ defense looked to have settled into the game, only allowing 16 yards in the Cardinals’ next three efforts. But a late-quarter Cardinals’ push, anchored heavily by a 23-yard Larry Fitzgerald catch, brought the score to 10-6. The Cardinals managed to record 65 yards on 12 plays within a 1:45.
