Changes to Redskins' defense remains focus of attention

For the Topic of the Week, we turn to the defense where several questions were asked. I’ll address them here (@RajanNanavati,@VATrucklawyer@krashnorris@sewardlaw@rochaser1967).

The 4-3: If there’s movement toward making this switch, then I’ll go deeper into it. Until that point it’s a waste of effort because this move was made five years ago. The Redskins’ defense has struggled of late not because they’re in a 3-4, but because the talent wasn’t good enough or the coaching wasn’t sharp enough. In the 2000s, the Redskins had Marty Schottenheimer (and his brother Kurt), Marvin Lewis and Gregg Williams in charge of defenses.
