Morgan Moses turns his injury into a positive, and angles for a role as key backup

RICHMOND – The Redskins spent a third-round pick on him in 2014, hoping he could serve as the long-term bookend opposite Trent Williams. But for much of that training camp, the regular season practices, and the limited game action he received, Morgan Moses appeared overmatched and a long way from NFL ready.

A late-season foot injury shelved Moses and landed him in the operating room. It seemed like the incident would set Moses back, because instead of getting additional practice reps in the final month of the season, he also would miss the offseason program.
