Left tackle Trent Williams and wide receiver DeSean Jackson were among the six players on the Washington Redskins’ 90-man roster who were not in attendance for Tuesday’s on-the-field workout.
The workouts, which were the next progression in the NFL’s offseason program, are voluntary. Players are not required to take part in any mandatory workout until mini-camp, which, for the Redskins, is June 16 through June 18.
Williams was unable to catch a flight back from Houston on Monday night because of flooding and storms in the area, while Jackson had previously told coach Jay Gruden he would join the team next week.
