Redskins sign CB Deshazor Everett

RICHMOND – With Bashaud Breeland sidelined with a strained medial collateral ligament in his right knee, the Redskins brought in another cornerback for depth purposes, signing Texas A&M product Deshazor Everett on Saturday.

To make room for Everett on the roster, Washington released backup linebacker Dasman McCullum.

The 6-foot, 193-pound Everett went undrafted in the spring. He played in 50 games for the Aggies, recording 218 tackles, 26 pass breakups, five interceptions (three returned for touchdowns) and one fumble recovery. In addition to starting at cornerback, Everett also stood out on special teams.

Chris Culliver and DeAngelo Hall are Washington’s starting cornerbacks, with Breeland (when healthy), David Amerson and Justin Rogers slotted behind them.
