Wilson Ramos out with torn ACL

Washington Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos will be out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL, according to manager Dusty Baker.

Ramos exited Monday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks in the sixth inning after jumping for a high throw from first baseman Ryan Zimmerman. Ramos landed awkwardly and clutched his right knee, the same knee that required surgery after a torn his ACL and MCL in 2012. Ramos was helped off of the field.

Ramos, who was named to the National League All Star Game for the first time in his career, hit a career-high 22 home runs this season and recorded a career-high .
