SYRACUSE (AAA International League): The Chiefs fell to the Rochester Red Wings in the first two of a three-game set on Friday and Saturday before getting washed out on Sunday.
On Friday, Rochester picked up a run in the bottom of the eighth to edge the Chiefs 4-3. A.J. Cole allowed three earned runs on eight hits and a walk over five innings, striking out seven. Matt Grace took the loss and gave up the run in the eighth.
