Nationals hit four straight homers vs. Brewers

The Nationals hit four consecutive home runs in the third inning against the Brewers on Thursday. The homers were hit by Brian Goodwin, Wilmer Difo, Bryce Harper and Ryan Zimmerman.

It's the eighth time in MLB history a team has hit four straight homers in a game. The most-recent team to accomplish it prior to the Nationals were the D-backs in 2010, also against the Brewers.

WASHINGTON -- Even though the Nationals initially said it was possible Stephen Strasburg would avoid a stint on the disabled list, manager Dusty Baker insisted that nothing had changed in his diagnosis before they eventually decided to place him on the 10-day DL prior to Thursday's series finale against the Brewers with a nerve impingement in his right elbow.
