Atlanta Braves walk off on Washington Nationals, 7-6 on Jace Peterson home run to avoid sweep.

The Atlanta Braves rallied late for the third straight game, tying it up at 6-6 in the eighth, before beating the Washington Nationals 7-6 on a walk-off home run by Jace Peterson.

With wins in the first three games of the four-game set in Atlanta, GA’s Turner Field, the Washington Nationals improved to 5-0 in the Braves’ home this season and 11-1 overall against their NL East rivals in 2016.

The Nationals, powered by a three-run home run by Bryce Harper in the fourth and a two-run blast by Chris Heisey in the sixth, took a 6-4 lead into the eighth inning, but the Braves rallied, tying it up at 6-6 after a rain delay, and winning it in the tenth on a walk-off home run by Jace Peterson.
