MIAMI — You’re never as bad as you look during a long losing streak, and you’re never as good as you look during a long winning streak, but at what point does the losing start becoming an actual reflection of what you are as a ballclub?

Not after a mere 19 games, the Nationals insist. No matter how bad things may appear at the moment, the ugliness of a 6-2 loss to the Marlins on Sunday and a 5-game losing streak still fresh in everyone’s minds.

“It’s unfortunate, and I’m sure it doesn’t look good,” left fielder Jayson Werth said.
