Washington running back Myles Gaskin steps to forefront

Before the season, Washington freshman running back Myles Gaskin was buried on the depth chart behind four returners.

He had just five rushing yards on five attempts in the opener before exploding for 146 yards and three touchdowns in the second game. Gaskin had shared running back duties with Dwayne Washington early in the season, but in the past three games the former O’Dea High standout has ran for more than 100 yards while carrying the Husky offense.

Gaskin, a 5-9 and 192-pound Lynnwood, Wash. native, ranks seventh in the Pac-12 with 606 rushing yards.
