Washington Huskies win men’s Pac-12 rowing title, will pull for history at nationals

The Washington Huskies men’s crew avenged its April loss to arch-rival Cal by winning the Pac-12 championships Sunday, taking a sixth-consecutive conference title and recapturing a No. 1 ranking heading into this month’s national championships.

The UW men’s varsity eight beat Cal’s top boat by open water, finishing the 2,000-meter course at California’s Lake Natoma in 5:44.66. The Golden Bears, who were ranked first nationally after beating the Huskies on April 25 in Seattle, finished in 5:48.
