University of Washington WR Brayden Lenius suspended three games

University of Washington wide receiver Brayden Lenius has been suspended three games for a violation of team rules, coach Chris Petersen announced Monday.

Lenius, a junior, played in 13 games (six starts) last season for the Huskies, catching 26 passes for 307 yards and three touchdowns. As a freshman,. the 6-foot-5, 220-pounder had seven catches for 56 yards in 14 games.

Asked what prompted the three-game suspension, Petersen declined to go into details.

The ban covers 14th-ranked UW's non-conference slate, which begins Saturday at Husky Stadium against Rutgers (11 p.m. Pacific Time, Pac-12 Networks). Assuming no further disciplinary measures, Lenius will be eligible to return when the Huskies open Pac-12 play Sept.
