Michael Porter, Sr Turns Down His Good Friend Lorenzo Romar

The dramatic star turn for UW Men's Basketball and it's head coach, Lorenzo Romar, since it opened the 2014-15 season on an 11-0 run has become one of the most vulgar storylines in all of college basketball.  The hits keep coming and the Huskies suffered another one last night.

Despite being longtime friends, standing up for one another in their weddings and Lorenzo Romar being asked to be the godfather to his son, Michael Porter has decided to turn down an offer to replace TJ Otzleberger on the UW Men's Basketball staff.

Porter who, like Romar, is a devout Christian and family man, ultimately felt that he could not leave his roots in Columbia, MO where two of his children are playing college basketball and where he is the assistant coach on the Mizzou Women's team.
