Redskins defensive turnaround has been crucial in their success

Through the first two games of the season, the Washington Redskins defense allowed 578 passing yards and 249 rushing yards. In Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns, the Redskins were torched for 163 rushing yards and 380 total yards.

But in the last two games, the Redskins defense has buckled down, allowing just 545 total yards combined, and, more importantly, teams are struggling to put points on the board. Against the Philadelphia Eagles—a team that had been dismantling defenses at the hands of rookie quarterback Carson Wentz—Washington held their opponents to just two field goals.
