LaVar Arrington Takes Head Coaching Job At Pasadena's Maranatha High School

Arrington had most recently spent time serving as a linebacker and assistant defensive coordinator for Long Beach Poly High School, which had been coached by former Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce before he stepped down this December.

The Redskins’ No. 2 overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft, Arrington played six seasons with the Redskins, earning three Pro Bowls, and has done a variety of football-related activities since his retirement around a decade ago.

Arrington has been a frequent contributor and analyst on NFL Network and other radio shows. He formed a sports-management agency, opened a restaurant in Maryland and started a football training company.
