Barry Cofield is a name that many Washington Redskins fans have not heard in a while. Cofield was with the team from 2011-2014 after signing a free agent deal to come over from the New York Giants. In his four seasons in Washington, Cofield served as a solid, do-it-all type of nose tackle, logging 100 total tackles and nine sacks in 56 games.
Since Cofield’s departure, the Redskins have had a lot of issues at the nose tackle position. However, those pale in comparison to the trouble that Cofield got himself into on Tuesday night.
Cofield was arrested in Florida for a DUI, heroin possession, and eluding a police officer.
