The Washington Redskins unofficial mascot and perhaps biggest fan, Chief Zee, has died.
Chief Zee’s real name was Zema Williams. He could be found at Redskins game dating back to 1978. Last night, he passed away in his sleep.
After being in danger of being evicted from his home in April, many supporters and Redskins fans came together to pay for his rent for two months. There was a GoFundMe page established that raised $5,000+ in only five days for Williams.
It’s unclear what the cause of death is at this time, but Williams’ health had been in decline.
