Washington Capitals Fall In Overtime to Flyers

The Washington Capitals had been off for 8 straight days and got back to work against the Philadelphia Flyers and ex-Capital Michal Neuvirth. Karl Alzner also took over the Capitals Iron Man record with a record 423 consecutive games played. Let’s recap the night.

On their first shot of the game and on the first power play of the game the Flyers get a goal. Brayden Schenn roofed the puck over Braden Holtby‘s shoulder to give the Flyers the early lead. Tom Wilson was responsible for the penalty, an interference call, on a play in which he could have just skated away.
