Pheonix Copley, savior of the Hershey Bears’ season, has re-signed with the Capitals. Copley was a pending UFA, meaning he could sign with any team starting July 1. This is Copley’s second stint in the Caps organization as he was a key component in the T.J. Oshie trade. Then the Caps reacquired him as part of the Kevin Shattenkirk trade. Copley will earn $650,000 in the NHL and $200,000 in the AHL in 17-18, then regardless of the league he is in, $650,000 in 18-19.
