After taking on and shutting down one of the best teams in the NHL on Saturday in the Boston Bruins, the Caps took on another top NHL team in the Canucks and nearly took them to a shootout. If they play every game like that to the end of the season the fans would be happy and proud.
Unfortunately what had been such a great game came to a crappy end with Vancouver being gifted a turnover in the slot in the final seconds of overtime…but it happens and we move on.

- Ovechkin is now on pace for 20 plus goals this season – something which, if you had heard it before the season you’d be a little concerned, but is now a very welcome fact.
