Capitals Players Practice with Fort Dupont Kids on Ice and Cannons Programs

ARLINGTON, Va. – Washington Capitals goaltender Philipp Grubauer and forward Michael Latta participated in a practice with children from the Fort Dupont Cannons and the Kids on Ice program on March 14 at the Fort Dupont Ice Arena in Washington, D.C.

Founded in 1978 by Neal Henderson, the Fort Dupont Ice Hockey Program (FDIHP) is a development program that provides local and inner-city youth in Washington, D.C., the opportunity to participate in an organized ice hockey program. Kids on Ice is a community ice skating program for children offering free lessons with all equipment provided.

Prior to the practice, Grubauer and Latta presented a check in the amount of $42,000 to the Fort Dupont Ice Hockey Club on behalf of Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation.
