FSU Offers Scholarship To 2018 Recruit, Son Of Former NFL All-Pro

There is something to be said for planning into the future, and the Florida State Seminoles are the latest school to offer a scholarship to a high school sophomore in the 2018 recruiting class (because those three years WILL fly by).

Patrick Surtain Jr., currently a sophomore defensive back at American Heritage School in the suburbs of Fort Lauderdale, Florida tweeted out the offer from his home state school on Friday:

If the name sounds familiar to those Seminole fans from South Florida, he is the son of former Dolphins and Chiefs cornerback Patrick Surtain, who combined with Sam Madison and Terrell Buckley to create one of the better secondaries in all of the NFL in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s.
