Genevieve Zhang knew very little about Wake Forest before she applied. A teacher at her Massachusetts boarding school recommended the school to her, and she fell in love when she visited.
Zhang also didn’t plan on studying accounting. She originally wanted to take organic chemistry as a freshman, but couldn’t get into the class. So instead, she took Accounting 111. The subject matter just made sense to her, so she stuck with it.
As Zhang got more involved in the business school, she found professors who helped her along the way.
“I took managerial accounting with Terry Baker, who was a great mentor to me,” Zhang said.
