BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech Athletics Department announced Monday the formation of Inside Backers Gridiron Club, a group designated for the providing of support to the Hokies’ football program.
The Inside Backers Gridiron Club will resemble the Hokie Hardwood Club, which consists of a group of donors and fans who support the women’s basketball program at Virginia Tech.
The mission of the Inside Backers Gridiron Club is to preserve the traditions of the football program, foster the ideals of Virginia Tech football, and raise the financial support needed to maintain a successful program. The financial support will go toward supplementing the program’s recruiting efforts and specifically toward camps, transportation costs, and facilities enhancements.
