Tech advances, knocks off Penn State, 64-55 in WNIT

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Five Hokies hit double-digits as the Virginia Tech women’s basketball team keeps rolling in postseason play, knocking off Penn State 64-55 in the third round of the Women’s National Invitational Tournament.

Chanette Hicks led the Hokies (20-13) with 13 points, six assists and five steals while tallying zero turnovers. Vanessa Panousis and Samantha Hill each added 12 points. Sidney Cook and Kendyl Brooks chipped in 11 points. Regan Magarity led on the boards with eight rebounds and posted two blocks.
