Their collegiate careers may be over, but the Virginia Tech Hokies have athletes still carrying the VPI flag at the USA Outdoor Track Championships!
Two weeks ago Drew Piazza finished the men’s 800 meter, at the NCAA Outdoor National Championship, in sixth place. During the 2017 USA Outdoor Championships he was able to advance to the finals where he placed fifth overall, with a time of 1:45.69.

Hannah Green, the year’s NCAA silver medalist in the women’s 800 meter, failed to qualify for the finals.
