Frank Beamer added to College Football Playoff’s selection committee

The Virginia Tech Hokies are finally represented in the College Football Playoff.

Well, sort of.

On Monday, legendary Hokie head coach Frank Beamer was appointed to the College Football Playoff selection committee. Beamer, along with Robert Morris University President Chris Howard and Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith, were each chosen for three-year terms on the selection committee.

For Beamer, who just completed his first full year of retirement, it’s a pretty sweet gig.
