BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech Athletics Department announced special dates for for the 2016 football season on Monday.
- White Effect – Military Appreciation vs. Boston College (Sept. 17)
- Orange Effect – Homecoming vs. East Carolina (Sept. 24)
- Maroon Effect – Thursday Night Football vs. Miami (Oct. 20)
The initial ACC contest for Justin Fuente as Virginia Tech’s head coach on Sept. 17 will also mark Military Appreciation Day and the annual White Effect game, as the Hokies face Boston College at Lane Stadium.
