New Virginia men’s lacrosse head coach Lars Tiffany faces his first big test at the helm as he may have to replace his starting goalkeeper. Matt Barrett, who started every game for Virginia last season, was arrested and charged for drug possession in Ocean City, Maryland earlier this month on August 12.
Both Inside Lacrosse and Whitelaw Reid of the Daily Progress received confirmation of Barrett’s indefinite suspension from an athletic department spokesperson, but Tiffany has made no statement on the topic.
