Report: Mike Scott traded to Phoenix Suns

For the second time today, a Virginia basketball alum is on the move.

Just ahead of the NBA’s 3 p.m. Eastern trade deadline, Adrian Wojnarowski of the Vertical reported that former UVa forward Mike Scott had been traded from the Atlanta Hawks to the Phoenix Suns for cash considerations.

Scott ranks 18th on UVa’s all-time scoring list with 1,538 points, third in double-doubles at 34 and third in rebounds with 944.

After playing at least 68 games in each of the last three seasons, Scott’s playing time with the Hawks plummeted this year; he’s only appeared in 18 games so far.
