Malcolm Brogdon Shares Thoughts About Charlottesville with Sports Illustrated

Former Virginia Cavaliers basketball star Malcolm Brogdon was interviewed by Sports Illustrated earlier today to share his thoughts on the recent tragedy in Charlottesville. The NBA Rookie of the Year weighed in on his experiences at UVA, his stance on Confederate statues, and his opinion of LeBron James’ comments on the events. The two time All-American, who earned a masters degree in public policy while at UVA, also spoke about his role as an athlete in political discussion in the face of critics who mention athletes should “stick to sports”.

Brogdon stated among other things, “I think it's our duty, I don't think it's something we really have a choice to do.
