Justin Anderson came to a decision about his future before the weekend, but the standout junior for the Virginia men’s basketball team wasn’t quite ready to share it with the world when he woke up on Monday morning to a phone buzzing with texts congratulating him after a Yahoo Sports report said Anderson intended to enter the NBA draft.
He sent out a Tweet expressing confusion, appearing to shoot the story down. But Anderson told his coaches and teammates a few hours later that he would indeed forgo his senior season with the Cavaliers, expecting to be drafted anywhere from the middle of the first round to early in the second round.
