He said he was happy. He was pretending he was happy — expressing kind thoughts about the city of Cleveland and the Cavaliers. He didn’t really look happy — but that’s only because the photo was intended to make him look pensive and reflective, as if his decision to return to the Cavaliers was the result of some deep journey to the center of his soul which was overrun with epiphanies and the meaning of life, and not the result of a disastrous blunder by him and his agent.
