While most of the Cavalier faithful will have their eyes trained on the goings on of the basketball games in Chicago, the baseball team continues ACC play in Louisville. (If only the Tournament Committee had given the Hoos the South bracket instead of the MidWest bracket...)
The Cardinals entered the 2016 season with high hopes of returning to Omaha after falling in the Super Regionals last season. Prior to the NCAA Tournament, Louisville won the ACC Regular Season title by posting a 25-5 conference record in their inaugural ACC season. Three of those victories came at the expense of the Cavaliers as they were swept in Charlottesville last year in dominating fashion.
