The #8 Villanova Wildcats returned home in front of a packed stadium of 10,071 on parents weekend and put their undefeated record on the line against #12 Maine Black Bears in a match-up of top-15 teams. The Wildcats thoroughly dominated the first half and ran away with a 33-17 victory.
The win moved Villanova to 5-0 for the first time since their national championship campaign in 2009. They also improve to 2-0 in the CAA.
The Wildcats got the ball first and stormed down the field in a hurry. They went 80 yards in nine plays in under four minutes to go up 7-0.
