This is SoCon Saturday, and College GameDay is at App State-James Madison — where I am sure they will have a big feature about how “stupid” the NCAA reclassification rule is just because JMU is 10-0 but has to wait to see if there aren’t enough 6-6 teams for all of the bowl slots to be filled (there won’t be.) Which also means that they’ll probably play Western Kentucky in the Cure Bowl or whatever, instead of the Fiesta Bowl or something. Whatever. Cry more.
GameDay’s other option was to go to the actual biggest game of the day, Washington-Oregon State at Reser Stadium (pictured above), but that invited the possibility (bad for GameDay, good for all of us) that the GameDay crew would have gotten booed by the local crowd for their (correct) perception that ESPN played a role in screwing over Oregon State by getting the Big 12 to knife the Pac-12, amongst other things.
