The Vanderbilt running back was the team's only source of offense in 2015, and those efforts haven't gone unnoticed.

Ralph Webb has been the engine that kept Vanderbilt's offense moving in two otherwise dismal seasons. Now, he's finally getting some recognition for it.

The junior tailback was named to the Doak Walker Award watch list on Thursday. The honor singles out the nation's top running back at the end of each season. Previous winners include Eddie George, Ricky Williams, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Darren McFadden.

Webb broke into Vanderbilt's starting lineup as a redshirt freshman in 2014 and established himself as one of the SEC's top backs despite playing for a team with no passing game to speak of.
