Could Vanderbilt lineman become a 2017 first-round NFL draft pick?

Vanderbilt hasn’t had a player selected in the first round of the NFL draft since offensive tackle Chris Williams was picked at No. 14 overall by the Chicago Bears in 2008.

But that could change according to college football insider Chris Landry. Landry believes offensive tackle William Holden has all the makings of a potential NFL starting lineman after a stellar campaign in 2016 for the Commodores.

“Vanderbilt T William Holden could be an eventual NFL starter as he is a terrific pass protector who gets the most from his size and skill. The 6-foot-7, 312-pounder started all 13 games last year as Kyle Shurmur’s blindside protector at left tackle.
